Waves

In this piece I attempted to construct the piece without drawing or painting the rough structure underneath, instead trying to build up a readable piece by painting blobs of colour as I saw them.

The construction of this piece was assisted by the natural variation of ocean waves - I didn’t need to worry too much about how closely the result resembled my reference, leaving me free to construct an interesting piece.
