The Post Box

For the 21st painting in the painting-every-day series I decided to paint a staple of Britain; a bright red post box. I attempted to capture the vibrancy of the colour of the postbox by making it the only red element in the entire painting, with the background being primarily green and yellow to produce a strong contrast with the box. I think this piece was very successful and that it informed how I would go on to take advantage of contrasting colours to push vibrancy.
