Maximus

In this piece I returned to an old tradition of painting portraits of recognisable characters; in this instance a portrait of Maximus from the Fallout TV show. To make this piece more difficult for myself I painted this portrait without any guide sketch, instead skipping right to the rendering stage of the piece. I think that this method worked surprisingly well, though I became aware of how out of practice I was at painting recognisable portraits.
