The Green Car

Background painting was never my strong point, which this piece depicts more than most others.
This painting is based on a photo of a classical car which I took when walking around my university city, though I changed the colours to make the piece more interesting since the original car was beige-brown.
The decision to make this car green and to paint the shadows with a magenta-blue gives the car an unintentional ‘joker-mobile’ colour scheme, but otherwise the car itself is fairly well studied in this piece.
