Figure Study from Statue

Due to limited time and resources at this time, I didn’t often get the opportunity to study the human form from life. Instead, I often used to practice anatomy based on classical statues which I observed in art galleries.

In this piece, I was attempting to make plain marble appear more interesting by introducing subtle colour variations across the surface of the statue.
