Dishonored Study 1

This was the first of a pair of studies in which I investigated the portraiture style which was used in the game Dishonored, to investigate which elements of the style I liked and inform how I wanted to continue painting in the future.

In this piece, I attemted to apply the style of Dishonored to a study of an old photo. The main aim was to investigate the methods of colouring and structuring that were used in that style so that I could find out what elements of those works made them particularly appealing to me.
